Me too. She is a very good actress though because I have a visceral reaction of complete disdain and anger whenever she appears on screen. She is one of the most unlikable and annoying characters I have ever seen.

Yes, I think that's an interesting take on the true life writer. Easier to do now I guess, given she died.

I love Lily Gladstone, and the plot is interesting, but the actress who plays the journalist is really annoying, and it is unbelievable that a grown woman would hang out at parties with a bunch of teens, even in the hopes of getting information.

Well that's exactly what happened. The original writer was very petite and could be mistaken for a teen though in her early 30s at the time. She neither seemed like a threat nor someone who didn't fit in. So that's what happened.
