I remember being given a list of what I could eat up until I had to quit eating completely. I remember I was allowed egg whites and white rice.
There's research out there that actually says they can loosen up the restrictions a lot, but doctors prefer to not even go there because they see people stretching the limits of anything they tell them, so best to advise a firm boundary. |
Is pho ok? |
The O Safeway brand veggie does not contain tomatoes. The Trader Joes brand does. I am also a vegetarian who is prepping. Taking careful notes. I am going to chug a lot of Gatorade for 3 days to stay hydrated as I get tired and dizzy easily without my normal protein and raw veggies. Can I have sauteed tofu? The instructions my doc's office gave me were minimal. |
I am def putting a few drops of milk into my coffee!
My brother just had his 4th C. (age 50, 51, 56, 61) He said he doesn't even drink all of the clean-out liquid on the day of anymore. -- but yes on the night prior. |
There are so many different prep methods. You just need to follow the instructions from your own doctor. |
My doc gave no instructions for vegetarians. Turkey, chicken broth, etc but nothing for me. Can I just cook my veggies? Liquids only day prior -- I get it. My procedure is 9am. |
they've been my go-to snack since I was 6, lol |
Is there any topic that won't bring out Our Lady of This Is Why Americans Are Obese? |
So I’m the op of this thread. Survivors the 3 days of bland food and no food. I was very, very hangry on the no food day though. The actual prep was much better than I thought it would be. I took the 12 pills at 4 pm and 4 am. After about 8 of them each time I did get nauseous. The nurse did tell me that sometimes the prep only clears one side of your colon and they can’t tell until they go in. I am so happy not to have to do it again for 5 years. |
Congrats for getting it done! |
