Call from Flint Hill

Current FH parent. While some grades like 9 are quite competitive, 5 is probably the best year to apply. A lot of new spots and not a lot of people want to leave in fifth. I’d be shocked if there are many fifth grade rejections.

Lower school kids , both accepted

My 3rd grader didn’t get accepted. I’m actually really shocked and disappointed. He is very bright and did well on his visit. I want to call and ask why but will they tell me?

For full pay I’ve heard similar but perhaps no longer. They are wildly popular post-pandemic.

Was he denied or just waitpooled? If waitpooled it means he is acceptable but not enough space. I don't think they have many/any 3rd graders leaving so might just be about space and not about your son. You can call and ask.

This happened to us a few years ago. We enrolled, so glad we did. They were 100% right even though at the time we weren't sure redshirting/staying back was really necessary. So much better to have done it when he was so young and not later in LS or MS.

He was rejected. Letter said there are limited spots and he cannot be offered one. Not sure if that’s the genetic rejection response…
I’m very shocked, I thought it was a sure thing that he would get in.
