| My son buys a lot of Temu stuff. He had a big battle to get refunded for one item but succeeded in the end. I have another friend who insists that they are always sending him stuff he didn't order or many multiples of something he ordered only one of, but he's an idiot and probably doing things wrong. |
Do you as a Democrat like Chinese slave labor better than American slave labor? |
Ah but I bet you will buy stuff from Amazon. no wait, you are going to tell me that Amazon is awful and you recently cancelled Prime. People who say they don't buy from Temu or Shein but eagerly buy from Amazon as if that is somehow better. Where do you think the sellers on Amazon get the stuff from? If you can purchase the same thing on Temu or Shein for less, than the Amazon seller bought there and is selling to you at a higher price. Many of the brands just sell directly on all three platforms now. Also many of those small business and independent online "boutiques" are simply selling the same stuff just with higher markup |
Yes Amazon has the same sellers. |
But do they give the CCP access to all your data the way temu does? |
I know this is real. But honestly, I don’t have data of interest to anyone. If I did, I wouldn’t put it on a computer hooked to the Internet. |
I don't understand the difference between all the sites that are popping up now (Shein, Temu, Aliexpress) and how they are different from Amazon or Ebay. I have bought many items from Amazon that show a US location but the item actually shipped from China. Most of the stuff I've seen on Temu is also for sale on Ebay and/or Amazon and comes from China. Both Ebay and Amazon have vendors who hide that their items are shipped from China. Why would anyone attack Temu and not also go after Ebay and Amazon? |
What is your assumption here op? |
This response is just dumb. If you have any electronic products or prescription drugs in your home you have let Chinese companies into your life. You clearly are clueless about the number of grocery items in your home that were made in China. You are clueless. |
What difference does it make when the majority of items they sell are Chinese made and therefore supporting Chinese companies. |
What brands are you buying that aren't made in China? Take a long look at the shoes in your closet, the jackets, pants etc. You are deluding yourself. |
I agree with you but let's not be silly. China makes most of our prescription drugs now. India has joined the party. We should have been railing against this decades ago. |
I don’t buy from any of those places. I go to target to buy stuff made in china, the higher prices include quality control made by target engineers. They deserve to be paid 🤷♀️ |
You're giving the same info away to big businesses that include Chinese companies when you buy most anything in this country. Do people really not realize how intertwined their lives are with China? Also a good practice is to never download an app for any product you buy. There are some situations where you have to but in most cases you don't need to. You have little control over the info they are gathering from your phones. Don't use apps. |
