What is your teen paid for babysitting?

My 16 year old DD makes $20. A new family said they’d give her $25, but haven’t actually scheduled her yet, so we’ll see if that actually happens. I can’t believe they get paid more than retail.

MCPS pays its teacher subs $20/hr to take care of 30 kids. Para subs (no college needed) make less to help with kids with high needs. But affluent teens in Bethesda pull in $20/hr to watch one eight year old.

Too low. I paid this 12 years ago for 2 kids.

It’s minimum wage (or over) plus tax free. Good luck to a 17 yr old wanting a job making more than that
