why are musicians so attractive to women?

Familiarity breeds contempt, I guess. But a well dressed, fit man in a business suit geeking out on something science or tech? Oh man. Swoon.

I was forced to play the saxophone growing up. When I got to college, I played “forever in love” by Kenny G and my sex life improved from that day forward.

I'm 100% straight and obsessed with young and pretty opera singers. It's the glam life IMO. I also love opera.

Because they are creative, they seemingly show emotions - at least thru their art, they're adventurous and worldly and most of them put some effort into their style.

Women like men who are talented at something. Music is an easy talent to showcase.

Confidence, musical talent (which to me denotes both hard work and sensitivity), and generally charisma/gravitas. Plus it takes a lot of bravery to perform in front of people! It’s very attractive, especially when many men have been conditioned not to show any emotion or vulnerability.

In my experience women respond most to men who have a mission and exhibit mastery of something.

Haha, point taken. OK so a guy with a mastery of something she finds cool or interesting then, maybe a guy who rehabilitates baby otters would be more attractive than an IT guy to some women.

Well, hell. I'm straight and a guy who rehabilitates baby otters would be pretty appealing to me!

oP/ premise is faulty; many women do not prefer musicians at all. For many of the reasons already cited in this thread.
