What is better to teach a child to roller skate - roller blades or inline skates?

Child is 5 and already knows how to ice skate if it matters. I would like her to learn to skate on pavement. Any suggestions of what type of skate to buy? I would rather not buy one of those adjustable ones….

Any specific product recommendation would be greatly appreciated (I don't know how to skate myself).

Aren't roller blade and inline skates the same thing?

I think if she can ice skate she should have no problem picking up inline skating very quickly.

If she can already ice skate, she could probably handle inline skates/blades.

My daughter didn't know how to skate when we started roller skating, so she has roller skates with 4 wheels. She's better with those than she is with ice skates.

You might want to start in a rink and work up to outside. I have a little trouble managing my skates when there's a downward slope and i have to stop.

My DD is learning to skate for a high school play. They were told to use the ones with 4 wheels.

Roller skates are easier than inline skates, but if she is already ice skating if just go with inline skates.

Inline skates have 4 wheels too - just in a line.
