Increasingly, all the cedar rear gates in our neighborhood are being replaced by roll up doors as rear yards become parking pads. Out of interest, does anyone know how much those roll up doors cost? there is no garage, just the door. |
10 years ago when we put one in it was $5k. Overhead Door Company. |
Depends on size (does it need to be custom) and quality. $8 to $12k probably |

I'm also interested and found this while searching on google. Scroll down for Pooner & Son |
A contractor told me it's about $5k |
Ours was $8K from Pooner & Son two years ago. He is fantastic. |
Pooner and son. They did smash our sewer line and then concrete it up without telling us. Didn't realize what had happened until sewage started flowing into our house. |
About $8-10k ( incl electricity from house) for a proper exterior one 8 years ago, no regrets. Great experience with pooners. I've seen cheaper but they are doors that are meant to be used for a garage ie internally for most of the mechanical stuff. So don't hold up as well. Our neighbor has one, but everyone else in the alley has used Pooners. |
