| My chihuahua lived to 13 which I think is young for a small dog. We believed he developed MRSA from a family member. It was a quick illness/death and he died in his sleep. |

| The larger the dog the shorter its expected lifespan. Had a Borzoi die of old age at ten. |

| Beagle (about 20 lbs.) died at about 18. Mutt (about 50 lbs.) died about the same. |

| Our Boston Terrier died at 13. We have another one who is almost 12. He's had lots of health issues his whole life so we feel fortunate that he's still with us. |

Retriever/Lab mix at 12, a mix of old age issues
German Shephard at 10 very suddenly with seizures Both were so hard to accept and still hard to talk about. We have a Lab mix now who is 5, thinking of getting another shephard. |
