| How long did your dog(s) live? |
| My dog died suddenly from an illness (got sick on Saturday, died on Sunday) and he was three. |
How awful . I'm so sorry. That must have been very difficult.
|
| My chihuahua lived to 13 which I think is young for a small dog. We believed he developed MRSA from a family member. It was a quick illness/death and he died in his sleep. |
| The larger the dog the shorter its expected lifespan. Had a Borzoi die of old age at ten. |
| Beagle (about 20 lbs.) died at about 18. Mutt (about 50 lbs.) died about the same. |
She was 6--had kidney disease.
|
| Our Boston Terrier died at 13. We have another one who is almost 12. He's had lots of health issues his whole life so we feel fortunate that he's still with us. |
| We've had two labs. One died at 7 yrs and the other at 9 years, both from lymphoma. |
| Golden retriever, female- 13. |
| Beagle- about 15. |
|
Retriever/Lab mix at 12, a mix of old age issues
German Shephard at 10 very suddenly with seizures Both were so hard to accept and still hard to talk about. We have a Lab mix now who is 5, thinking of getting another shephard. |
| Wheaten terrier, 14. Old age and kidney issues. |
| bearded collie, 15. |
| Our Boxer is 10 and shows no signs of slowing down. Her hips are bad, but we are living in ranch houses so she has no stairs. |
