Anyone disappointed or concerned after one week?

We've been in school for 3 weeks, and I couldn't be happier. DS has made friends, joined activities, is adequately challenged academically, and seems to have gained an enormous amount of confidence. So glad we made this move.

One week in and DS is so happy. He liked his preschool but really loves k at the new school. I'Ve been thrilled with the communication from both the school and the teachers.

Thanks for asking, OP. I'd love to hear from people with kids in 3rd & 4th grade, so if you can mention the grade it would be appreciated! We started new last year for middle school and it was / is a great experience!

First grade here and happy so far. DD is a shy kid in new surroundings and she has come with a smile each day.

DC told me DC misses preschool and wants to go back. Is in prek now. Started last week, but asked "do I have to go there every day?" Anyone else been through this? Is it normal? A red flag or a normal transition?
