We are looking for a leather sofa for our living room.
Leather to withstand insidious dog hairs that are very difficult to remove from our current velvet sofa! This is on sale at Macy's, looks nice, and very comfortable. I realize it's probably not the best quality, but it really won't get very much use. My only concern: the cushions aren't removable! I'm used to being able to rearrange the cushions for cleaning, or to "plump them up", etc. Do you think it really matters? http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/emilia-leather-sofa?ID=1254702 |
It looks great. I agree about cleaning, but if they aren't removable, you will be able to just get the vacuum down in the crannies and that will be enough. Stuff can't get under where they are sewn on.
Leather sofas don't need plumping up like cloth sofas do. |
I like it too. And my leather sofa cushions never need to get plumped up either. Mine is from Ikea and after 4+ years of heavy use (and 2 toddler/preschool aged kids) looks pretty much exactly the same as when purchased. |
Won't the dog's claws tear it up? |
Nice. |
My Ethan Allen leather sectional cushions aren't removable- I think that's normal for leather?
I like it! |
Very nice!
We have a leather sofa with cushions that don't remove. Though he's not supposed to, the dog camps out on it while we're at work. The cushions have held up nicely and just wipe clean. As long as it's leather (not bonded leather...sometimes doesn't hold up as well) the dog's nails won't go through it. I'd still keep your dog's nails trimmed though just to be safe. Go for it! |
