folks:
can we postmark our intent to enroll forms or do they have to be physically dropped off at the school tomorrow? |
I wouldn't run that risk if I were you. The mail is a black hole in DCPS. Sorry. |
I would drop it off; and get a reciept |
sorry--receipt ![]() |
Yeah!!! Postmark it so the rest of us get a shot at your seat..Why would you wait??? This is your child's education after all..... |
you can fax or email it to the school. it does not go tp central dcps it goes to the school. |
22:28...you are just obnoxious. |
Not to be mean here, but the front desks at DC public schools are wildly understaffed. Lots of paper comes through each day and their are no real systems provided (other than manilla file folders) to deal with it. It's worth taking time off of work to go in and drop it off. Say "hi" ask about volunteer opportunities and get to know the community your child is going to join. And yes, get a receipt! |
Thanks for this thread. I mailed DD's intent to enroll for pre-K last week and assumed all was well. Today I called just to confirm Lafayette received the paperwork and they hadn't. Now I'm scrambling to get it over there.
The lesson? Never assume. |
