I need to find an OB/GYN that doesn't treat my pap smear like he/she is in a NASCAR pit crew.
I have some concerns I need to discuss and am particularly sensitive to the greet and street doctors because four years ago I had an OB/GYN brush off an armpit lump as a blocked pore. Turned out to be the start of a VERY sick four years for me that eventually ended with several lumpectomies. If she had taken 10 extra minutes she would've found more going on. We just moved to Bethesda and have BC/BS CareFirst. All suggestions are welcome. |
| Do you work downtown? I liked the women at One Medical. They listened well, explained things, talked to me about options, etc. My only problem is they run exactly on time so if you need more time to discuss another issue, you need to schedule another appointment. |
| PP again. I had a special circumstance and needed to get an IUD from a specialist and found a very caring, supportive nurse at Reiter, Johnson, Hill, etc in Friendship Heights. |

I've been going to Foxhall OBGYN for the last 8 years. Very comprehensive practice - many doctors to choose from.
After the exam my doctor always has me meet with her in her office to discuss any concerns I might have. They are located in the medical building on the campus of Sibley Hospital. |
| The midwives at Washington Hospital Center do well woman care, and they are awesome. They are never in a rush. |
Jackie, the NP at RHJN, is really great. Warm, supportive, and doesn't rush you at all. I also like Dr. Nevin. |
