Kid/dog friendly pest control?

Does such a thing exist? I think we have a mouse, and I also generally want a regular pest control contract, but am worried about toxicity of the measures they use as far as kids and pets go. Any suggestions?

Our landlord used Pest Now LLC. In response to our sighting of a mouse, the landlord put them on a yearly contract.

We moved out of the apt soon after they started "treating" the house; the service appeared effective in the short time we were there.

We had a dog and toddler. Instructed to keep both away from application spots used for ant control for the afternoon. The mouse products that were left behind were child/dog friendly (as friendly as pest control can be).
