What is the greatest thing that God has heard and done for you for what you prayed for !

I have been having some challenge in life which keeps getting worse regardless of my prayer to God to help me resolve the issue. In my whole life God has always listened and responded to my prayers.
He has blessed me in many ways. But with this challenge I have , it looks like I find no solution but it gets worse.

It is about my children whom I value the most in life. So I wonder why God brought these challenge.
Thank God they have no problems and are blessed kids but it is others who are attacking them for nothing wrong that they or we( parents)
Have done. Whatever I tried to get a relief does not work but mostly because the other side has a lot of power and we are no where close,

But I wonder if I am not having enough faith or if there is a reason that God is taking long to respond.
Did you ever have a situation like this ? Any advice ? I watched the War room movie last night and made me feel much better, maybe I am just praying but not doing if the right way and trust him fully fit him to take care if it.

Maybe what you thought were answered prayers was just good luck and what you think are unanswered prayers is bad luck.

I've heard people say that God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is "no."

Frankly, I don't think, if there is a god, that he is so capricious as to answer some people's prayers and not others.

I was doing CPR once ( I was an EMT) and I prayed while I was doing it, and when someone else took over compressions I prayed again. We brought him back and I felt that God helped.

Another time I was in hurricane force winds in my car. I pulled over and prayed. I felt this calm come over me and I sat there while it blew over me, but just felt calm, like I knew I was going to be ok. I was.

You interpret these events as "God answering your prayers."

I see them as "correctly performing CPR" and "wisely pulling over in a windstorm and calming down."

OP, your situation is unclear as written, but it sounds like your prayers involve asking God to tell someone else to stop doing something.

If that actually worked, wouldn't people do it all the time? And wouldn't people stop doing shitty things -- at least to people who pray?

Honestly, I don't believe that God answers prayers. I do believe that our faith gives us the strength, the hope, the community to get through tough times.

He gave me a big, well evolved brain so that I was able to discern between coincidence/circumstance and "God". That way, when I was raped, I didn't have to think- "why did God not answer my prayer and stop my rape- why is God so evil?".....I could understand that god isn't real and life just happens. When my babies were born I didn't think "God has blessed me!", I thought- man biology is amazing!!! Etc etc

Well, this isn't a particularly religious area or forum. Most posts criticize or question faith.
Maybe the unanswered prayers are either a "no" or a try a different approach. Praying that a bully will go away doesn't work. Praying drugs will go awa y doesn't work. Praying a bad friend will go away doesn't work. The right human intervention is required.

Biology is just the stuff of creation. Amazing, protean, ever changing, but your consciousness is far more powerful, interesting and unknown. We are it (consciousness) yet are so unaware of it we dismiss what we are without even questioning, as PP did here.

When I was about 8, I believed in God and prayer. My best friend and her parents did not believe in God. Both my best friend and I wanted American Girl dolls. I prayed and prayed for one, and she did not. We both got the dolls.
