Permeable Wall construction: any experience with either NicoLock or Techo-Block?

We have a long masonry wall to replace and are going to probably go permeable ... any experience with these, which our stone mason thinks look like a better quality?

Good or bad experience with others such as Pavestone?

Even if you use permeable for retaining wall, you will need to include drainage for code purposes.
