WTF?!?!?!!
Found out from reading this: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/08/31/the-fearful-and-the-frustrated "Jared Taylor, the editor of American Renaissance, a white-nationalist magazine and Web site based in Oakton, Virginia" Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering what Fairfax Underground is like. Still, it's pretty scary. |
| Woah. Did not know. Oakton is fairly diverse. He should probably move. |
|
That article is scary - the author interviews a number of people from this area (full names not used). - all articulating White Nationalist beliefs.
That is very disconcerting. |
| In an area where roads, schools and parks are all named after Confederate generals, I am shocked. |
|
So does being a white nationalist mean you only pick out the flaws of brown people or do they pick in everyone not white?
|
| And the US Nazi party was once headquartered in Arlington. BFD |
| Are you surprised? |
| People like this are everywhere. Not sure why this is so surprising. |
I had the same type of "aha" when I found out the second largest gun lobby has its headquarters in Newtown Connecticut. |
|
I love the knee-jerk idiocy in this thread. I actually personally know this guys (don't agree with his views, but know him well). He's a well-respected intellectual with degrees from Yale. He's polite and well read. He's lived in the area for 20 years, long before this forum existed. But yes, now that the thought police have decided he's not allowed, someone send him a letter and I'm sure he'll move right out!!
Idiots. |
| Virginia is a hotbed of this white nationalist thinking. A sad state of affairs |
Seems much more prevalent in red areas. Did Fairfax County go Trump? |
Do you tell him you disagree with his views? Or do you stay quiet? |
It's because they're losing VA and it's making them desperate. Sad indeed. The last gasps of a dying breed. |
Seriously? Sure are a lot of uninformed people on this thread. |
