Hi. We need new faucets in our kitchen and bath. The kitchen is a single faucet with a handle you lift and the bathroom has hot and cold handles and the spout. Is this a job for a plumber? A handyman? Should my husband be able to do this (he doesn't think so)? Thanks! |
easy, watch some videos online. |
DH does it all the time and he's not that handy. |
My 13 year old has been doing it for years. It can't be that hard. He also does toilets. |
Bath might be easier than kitchen... How deep is your kitchen sink? |
The part that can be tricky is getting the old ones out.
Otherwise replacing is super easy. OTOH if you don't want to do it and can afford to hire someone, yes, a plumber or handyman should be able to do them in less than an hour each (if the old ones come out easily, about 15 min.) For me it falls into the category of "I can probably do it in less time than I'll spend waiting around for the plumber." And I'm not that handy. |
PS Only other challenge is that sometimes there's not a lot of room to maneuver. |
