BM Colors and Paint

When referencing Benjamin Moore colors, are you all also using BM paint? Or are you asking Lowes or Home Depot to mix that BM color? If so, what "base" paint would you recommend for use in mixing the color -- any recommendations? Thanks.

We used Glidden paint from Home Depot in the BM color Cloud White. They had the codes
In the computer already and it looks great.

We use Benjamin Moore.

We use Benjamin Moore - sometimes with colors from other brands. Just had a sample mixed yesterday of a Sherwin Williams color. Part of that is because our local HW store stocks BM paints and that's where we buy paint. Our painter also uses exclusively BM paints.

I'ma working mom and painted (with no prior experience) several rooms in our house.

BM paint was horrible - it bubbled everywhere and the walls have like circle cut outs all over.

Behr paint (home depot brand) was sooo easy. I had no problems, and I actually used this in my first room ever not knowing what I was doing. And I only needed 1 coat on top of old yellow paint and it didnt even show through (I bought the paint/primer in one). So i'd go with behr for sure.

Did you do it yourself? Have you found it chips or peels? I've read reviews that it chips and peels. I only tested a small area with it, so I dont know.

We did it ourselves using Glidden Premium. It's only been about 6 months, but we haven't had any chipping or peeling.

"BM" paint sounds like something else entirely. Just sayin.

We recently had most of our house painted. We bought one room innthenbehr ultra and the rest was SW. Our painter showed us how much better coverage the SW gave him- it's worth it. SW has lots of sales so there is not a huge price differential.
