Is anyone taking prenatals during their cycling? I was told to (ever since my first iui), but never did. I stuck with my regular multivitamin instead. When I had first started ttc, I took prenatals. But after all the years of nothing I stopped. Now I'm wondering if I should pick it back up during ivf in time for transfer or if waiting until a bfp is just as fine. Just wondering what others have done.
I have been taking prenatals, folate, omega-3s and CoQ10 all along.
My RE has me on Citranatal Assure, started in the months prior to retrieval and staying on. My ob says, however, that a multivitamin is fine until bfp. I am sticking with the prenatals because they're the first that don't upset my system as most vitamins -- including multi vitamins -- do.
i took my regular ones until the bottle was empty then i bought prenatals its was somewhere after my transfer. as long your regular ones have folic acid you should be fine just switch if you can prenatals have higher amount of f.acid.

You are supposed to take prenatals for sure while doing IVF--because, obviously, you want to build those vitamin levels up in your blood well ahead of time for if you do get pregnant. I have had a medical professional tell me that folic acid is the main thing you need, but I also have low vitamin D levels like a lot of people, so I need it for that too!
