| I have 3 dc with learning issues -- one with possible ADHD (professionals are split on it) and mood issues; one with straight ADHD and the youngest has now been diagnosed with dysgraphia and possibly ADHD. Dysgraphia is a new one for me -- how challenging is it remediate/accommodate? |

It depends on the severity, but not that hard to figure out. Get your DC keyboarding as soon as possible. Using word prediction software, like Co-Writer or Kurzweil, is helpful too. For writing help, graphic organizers are very helpful- especially in the mid elementary years. Learning how to write well will be more difficult and need more practice and smaller steps.

This. And be sure to try for a 504 plan that allows for the use of keyboarding for tests and assignments. |
