Tree Work Recommendation

Hi there- does anyone have a recommendation for tree work contractor? I've got a large poplar tree that needs to be thinned out. First estimate came back around 3k which seems like a lot- although they were totally legit with insurance and licenses etc. thanks in advance

Just had Adriondack Tree Experts trim our massive cedars to keep them away from our roof. Was happy with the service, seemed appropriately priced (400 bucks).
