We don't even own a radio but I really like it especially in morning.
DC 101 morning zoo does not seem kid friendly W top 103. 5 feels robotic Kane show 99.5 is syndicated (far away too) I grew up in 1990s - the last best decade. Poor radio. |
| 97.1? That is 80's, 90's and today. |
| NPR station WAMU 88.5 |
|
just fyi I have the (free or nearly free) app "I Heart Radio" and I listen from my iPhone--there are stations all over that subscribe to it.
The only funny thing is you get their ads and local news. I was a transplant from Los Angeles and one day forgot that the weather info was for LA and ended up scurrying through a downpour, ha ha! |
+1 |
+2. Also the NPR One app... Like a radio stream, including some WAMU local stuff, but I can skip anything that I may not want the kids listening to |
|
90.9
Classical and some news. |
|
At home, I listen to NPR. I will also listen to online to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and Splendid Table.
When I'm in the car, I like Jack FM when I'm close enough to pick up the signal, but you can listen online: http://www.jack.fm |
What type of music do you like? If "Pop" then the Tommy show on 94.5. If you truly like news, then NPR 88.5 or WTOP-sorry can't recall the station. #3 on my radio

| 107.3 Jack Diamond Morning Show |
Uhh.....you are several years behind. Jack Diamond got canned years ago, and a new morning show (which is mentioned by the OP) is in it's place. Does NPR play music? I never listen. I think music was part of the OP's requirements. I think either 94.7 or 97.1 would work for the OP. Both stations don't talk much in the morning and have callers try to win various things. |
| Stick with Pandora. Pick an artist you like and create a station around that. |
| WMAL 630 AM and 105.9 FM |
What morning show did OP mention that replaced Jack Diamond? OP refers to DC101 and 99.5. Not 107.3 |
I wasn't correcting the OP, I was correcting the prior poster. |
