I'm struggling on where we should go for a trip without the kids for 1 week. With any luck, I'll be pregnant so we want to avoid anywhere that requires immunizations and/or malaria meds and are hoping for warm weather, culture, some beach time. We travel to Europe regularly with the kids so I was thinking somewhere in Latin America, Caribbean or Hawaii. So, where would you go??
Budget?
If I already had kids I wouldn't take a babymoon at all. I'd just wait until the baby was old enough to stay with the other kids and take a kick-ass vacation with DH. Why would you want to travel while pregnant if you're not a FTM?
OP here. No budget set for this. It's a belated anniversary trip (and we just happen to be TTC).
We went to Aruba for ours. Great weather, direct flight from Bwi, good medical care in case anything happened.
Do you really want to be puking your brains out in the trip?
Argentina would be great - Buenos Aires is fun, and there are tons of other great places there that could work while pregnant. Panama also is lovely, and I would highly recommend El Otro Lado if there's no budget (amazing hotel in Portobello, only accessible by boat). Boquete also is lovely. Costa Rica or Belize would be great, too.
OP again. Thanks 21:45! I like those ideas and will start researching. Keep the ideas coming

Please stop using the term Babymoon. Everyone's sick of that over used term that shouts out it's all about me!

Belize! After we had the baby, I realized we had never been (had always wanted to and just never got around to it) and now I see that it really doesn't seem very baby or toddler friendly at all.
Who should vacation be about? |

OP here. Thanks! Belize is going onto the list

I think it's more that it shouts "Look at meeee! I'm gestating! First person ever to do that AND travel!" |
