planning to redo our cement front stoop which has only two steps and a very flat lot. most of my neighbors have brick, then cement, with just a couple wood sprinkle in between, but i find them most appealing to me. this is a starter to mid-level SFH neighborhood, avg sale price is ~ $600k. thoughts? |
I think that wood looks cheaper than brick or concrete. Brick is the nicest looking. Wood will also require the most upkeep and maintenance. Brick requires some upkeep as well. Concrete you can usually leave alone for a long time. |
thank you! yeah it should be concrete. not sure why i wrote cement ![]() |
Wood is a lot of maintenance. I say this as someone whose spouse has been replacing rotting wood on our window sills, door openings, Etc. I'd get fake wood -- no maintenance no splinters. |
oh yeah, we'd definitely use fake wood - more expensive but for such a very small area it's well worth it |
Brick!
What is the exterior of your house? I think brick houses with brick stoops are the most classic! |
