We just bought a home and the entire basement has confirmed asbestos ceiling tiles. I'm afraid it would cost thousands to remove them, but I can't figure out a way to encapsulate them without disturbing them (nails, screws, etc) Has anyone dealt with this issue? |
No but we had asbestos floor tiles removed. Personally I recommend spending the money to do it professionally. They will set up fans to get negative air pressure and suck out any dust created. Save money elsewhere and consider the expense part of the cost of the house. |
Contd. We used these people for our floors. They did a great job and were very accommodating to our tight schedule. http://www.asbestosinspectionremoval.com |
Care to share how much your abatement cost? |
Do they just spinout? |
They are not in a drop ceiling. They are glued to the ceiling. |
