Teenage Liberation Handbook by Grace Llewellyn

I picked this up after having it sit on my shelf for years while my kid was little. I had forgotten how great it is. The subtitle, How to Quit School and Get a Real Life and Education, will no doubt turn off a lot of folks 'round these parts. However, this book is a really good guide to learning how to learn outside of a classroom, and how to do things like go to college if you want to, how to find a mentor, how to unearth alternative routes of learning things. It's not for everyone, but there's a certain kind of kid for whom this book is no doubt right up their alley.

Thanks for posting. My teenager might find that interesting.
