I know this is going to sound mean, and I don't intend it to. But built-ins require precise measurement and cutting.

At the point that you're asking for help on DCUM, I think you need to accept that finish carpentry is beyond your ability.

Do you have much woodworking experience or experience with things like mitre saws? If you have some skills and an artistic eye, there are ways you can modify repurposed old furniture or new kitchen cabinets with some Ikea type bookshelves and added trim to make your own built ins. But you need at least a basic woodworking skill level to even do that.
