Fed hiring before end of FY

Anonymous
For those in the know, are agencies doing anything different HR-wise to get people hired before the fiscal year ends? Or is it business as usual, possible shutdown be damned?

Not at my agency. We're going ahead with filling vacancies from people who moved on, but there's been no rush. We actually recently let a couple certs expire because we didn't find a good fit. So we'll start all over again.

At my agency, we are bringing in roughly 130 new Feds before the FY ends.

Do tell! But it may be too late and the end of the FY is just a month away.

Still useful for anyone who's in process already.

we always try to get as many people as we can through the process before the end of the fiscal year (but we're a small office inside a smallish agency).

Would people in this thread just SAY the agencies they're talking about already? The fact that your agency does or does not intend to hire is not confidential information, and revealing it is not going to out you at work or get you into trouble.

PP 20:24. I work in HR at SEC. We are hiring roughly 130 people before the FY ends. It's pretty much too late to apply now. We already have lots of people in the pipeline.

I've been trying to get into SEC for a while as a program analyst! Seems impossible to even get referred, any tips? Currently a 12 analyst with labor, financial industry experience.
