Bona floor cleaner

Went to get some Bona floor stuff to take care of the new floors and didn't realize how many options there were. What is the best method for using this stuff?

I've used Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner for decades. It's a surfactant type cleaner, that rids dirt and some grease. I use it carefully: I don't want too much of it on the wood so that it swells. I've learned I have to put more muscle into the cleaning as my floors' finish (Bona waterborne) seems to dirty easily. I just cleaned my hardwood stairs this week. It was like the wood was crying out for a drink of water and I spent two hours carefully hand cleaning the handrail and pickets and back of stairs and front. It was worth it.

In spite of all the cleaning I do on my hardwood floors with Bona, I never seem to get my cleaning cloths to come up clean. Wiping with Bona and seeing no dirt is what I was told is the definition of clean. As fanatical as I am on this, it never happens.

Most people use the floor mops or Bona spray mop btw. I use them too, but find the better job comes in busy areas with the old method.

We had our hardwood floors refinished when we moved into our colonial just shy of 15 years ago. I have used Bona hardwood floor cleaner since day 1, because I was a new homeowner and had no idea what else to use honestly. I have had contractors out to my house commenting on how shiny the floors still look. I use Bona and a swiffer-style mop (they are often sold together) almost every day on some part of the house. I set the spray bottle to "mist" and never over-wet the floors and it works amazingly well. I never feel like there is a sticky finish, and they look clean and feel clean.
