| Does anyone know of any manners/etiquette classes for adult men? My boyfriend grew up on the west coast and his manners are atrocious, to the point I worry it will hurt his career. |
|
Why on earth would anybody blow their money on this nonsense?
And do people not know that Mrs. Simpson is a racist? |
|
I find it so interesting that this thread has been going on for over 5 years!
And FWIW, my DS and his friends loved Capital Cotillion last night. |
Yeah, right. |
Oh, this is absolutely right. Granted, I had to drag him there but once arrived, they all had a wonderful time. As someone who had no real idea of what this was like before observing last night, I have to say that I was really impressed with the whole operation. Very well run, professional and really, lots of fun. |
| Delusional. |
| Too crowded this year. They should break it up by grade. |
Disagree. You need that many kids to give it the fun, festive feeling. |
Could you say more about this? |
Pretty strong, slanderous charge there. I think my child's diverse group - asian, bi-racial, jewish, catholic, protestant, etc. - would suggest that there is no racism at play. An outrageous charge easily disproved by a cursory look at the children who participate. You should be ashamed. |
| No, you can either search in the forum here or ask around. They can tell you what Mrs. Simpson said about certain kids/ethnic groups. |
Mrs. Simpson's was known for excluding Jewish and minority children but, as this thread is about Capital Cotillion, which is a different organization, I don't see the point of this. |
Slander and heresay pure and simple. There are kids of all backgrounds who participate. The fact that it has been posted on this forum does not make it true (or untrue for that matter). It simply means that someone said it. Slander. |
| Do you have to go to a Big 3 to be invited? |
No. Maret, St. Pats, NPS - I think most of the NW privates get invited, |
