WIS kids often go abroad and overall atmosphere is not competitive. I know for a fact they many get into medical and engineering schools. One classmate is in UChicago. They just didn’t post yet maybe deciding |
You may be looking at ACT scores. Sections of the PSAT are scored between 160 and 760 in each of the two sections. |

He didn’t take PSAT there was no need he took ACT and got 36 right away. I know he was nominated by school |
Based on current Instagram posts, over 60% of WIS students are heading to universities in the United States. The Ivy numbers, so far, are very average—nothing spectacular at this point. |
This thread reminds me of our earlier rationale to not send our kids to private (especially one of these mentioned) although we could afford to. Absolutely gross! |
Everything isn’t a great fit for everyone. Your people are found in the public school forum. Now, scoot! |
Does the ACT actually count for this award? I thought it was based on the PSAT? |
No, National Merit Semifinalist and Finalist are only associated with the PSAT. ACT scores are irrelevant for NMSF. Awesome scores, though! |
Idiot. This is not the private schools forum. DP |
That's what I said. They almost always won DC. Even the Mathcounts that you posted, GDS finished 1st. |

Sticks and stones, dear. It’s a private school THREAD. Now off you go, bitter interloper. |
Congratulations to GDS! I’m happy to hear they come in first place for something other than weirdness. |
![]() Perhaps you could pay the mod $60k to keep certain threads “private”? Until then, you will never know who is posting. Scary, isn’t it? |
Scary? An anonymous message board. 🙄 However, I pay for private school to keep my children away from yours (among many other reasons). It’s money well spent. |
