When to get Wisc done

When is the best time to get this done? Are the results available immediately?

Results take a few days to weeks. They need to be parsed. There are two busy times: January (for kids not in pool; after the cogAT, but before the deadline), and May when the rejection letters come out.

Most people that submit a WISC are accepted on appeal, but I suspect people with lower WISC scores pre-select: they do not submit the appeal paperwork.

If you want to go for a time that is not as busy, I would do march or april. Parental refer, and you have your new info for appeal. If the child has a FSIQ of less than 125, don't appeal (unless what is dragging it down is processing speed)

So looking at the new time frame for the AAP program it is possible referrals will need to be submitted before CoGAT results are received. Additionally the form states WISC-V so be sure you do that instead of earlier versions.

Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT)
