What size dehumidifier do I need for 275 sq ft basement?

| It's beginning to smell damp down there. I think I need a dehumidifier. What size would I need for 275 sq ft of space? Any recommendations of a good basement Unit? Thanks |

I had one with a 2.5 gallon bucket and that worked pretty well in my previous basement. Until it just stopped working. The one I have now is smaller - 1.5L - (home depot was out of bigger ones) but it's a workhorse. I have to empty it twice a day. Basement is probably 600 SF. I'll try to remember to look up the brand tonight. You're probably safe with whatever you find at Home Depot or Lowe's.
