what kind of flooring do you have in your basement?

carpeting over a subfloor

we went back and forth on what to put in and finally decided that this was the cheapest, most practical way to go for now (Home Depot carpeting)

it's a good sound absorber

We put pergo when the kids were little, they could ride little trikes and we had an art area and it was easy to clean.

Now that they are teens we put bound cut berber, it's not wall to wall but in the area they watch tv. The rest, near the walkout is still pergo.

It has been 15 years and the pergo still looks like new.
