Have you ever bought anything from Houzz? How is the quality and customer service. Looking for mirrors and a clock.

I found my interior decorator through Houzz and I will never believe their reviews again. The decorator has a pile of glowing reviews and five stars on Houzz. We could not have found a more overpriced ($30,000+), tone deaf (waged war with our contractor causing endless delays), and unorganized person (mismeasured our kitchen twice!!!) than if I had hired off of a magazine ad.

I love Houzz, but never have purchased from it OP. Recently I read from a woman who purchased cabinets and only got half her order, that Houzz publish the great/good reviews largely. If it bad review of a business comes in, the writer ofter has to inquire about the delay of their review, if it even gets posted. So as they say, buyer beware. Thanks for letting us know, PP.

Over the last few weeks I've been ordering most of the stuff for our bathroom remodel on houzz - vanity, pedestal tub, wall sconce, overhead light, a ton (literally) of marble. Still waiting on a few items, but so far all of the vendors have been easy to work with

Keep us posted. I wonder where they source their products from.

Yes, my review never published. In my review, I had raised specific examples of situations between the contractor and the decorator, where the decorator was clearly making decisions that were in HER best interests but not in keeping with cost efficiencies. I took a lot of time to draft my review, because I wanted people to understand my specific concerns with the decorator and to not feel as if I were being unfair.

To clarify it was $30,000 in design fees and purchases, which is (as I understand the industry) where most of the money is earned.
