Armholes are too big on most sleeveless tops

Is there a way to get this fixed that is not crazy expensive? Or some sort of garment I can wear that covers this? You can almost always seem my bra in any tank top I wear. And I am not that skinny so not sure what the issue is...

I wear a camisole under the tank.

I have big boobs and it's not possible to find a tank that covers my bra completely. I wear a black under shirt. It's a tight tank with spaghetti straps.

Could you try petite sizes? I share your frustration that even the newer tunic style blouses, sleeveless and sleeved, seem to be cut with huge arms. I look like I'm wearing a choir robe for a top. Had better luck with petites, although I don't generally fit into petite pants or dresses.

I wear a close fitting tank underneath.

I wear a cami underneath, typically a size smaller than my normal size to make sure it's snug.

This is such an easy fix. If you can sew a button, you can fix this.

Pinch the armhole in until it fits you. Judge the distance from the side seam -- I generally take in between one and two inches.

Take the garment off and lie it on a flat surface. Fold on the side seam with the armhole edges flush with each other. If you are taking in an inch, draw a line from an inch from the side seam and run it down until it meets the seam. Stitch on this line.

(Wish I could find a picture! This is super easy to do.)

It happens to me when the tank is too big. Especially when I'm sizing up to achieve a looser fit when the tank supposed to be fitted.

Are you petite? I'm petite and this happens when I wear regular clothes but is fixed in petite clothes.

Are you larger? I've noticed that some larger cut sizes size up the arm holes and sometimes even the wrist/sleeves! Try different brands.

So if I'm imagining this correctly, the altered garment will have an inch or two of excess material on the inside, right? Because of the new seam that was sewn?

Yes. A little triangle under the armpit. You can trim it out or just leave it be.

Oh wait, you mean a dart, rather than a long seam down to the hem?

Mmmmmm, me like seeing sideboob.

Right. A dart. If you go all the way down the hem, you'll end up taking the waist in, too.
