Our neighbor -- who has been an excellent babysitter to my kids -- is going to college. I want to get her a going away present, but it has to be something I can easily buy tomorrow. The things I've thought of is a gift certificate to iTunes, a subscription to spotify, or a gift certificate for netflix. I don't want to give straight cash.
Which of these, if any, would you suggest? Or something else? I'm looking to spend around $50-75. |
| A Bed, Bath & Beyond or Target gift card would definitely come in handy for any last minute essentials that she will inevitably realize that she needs once she gets to school. |
| Just do Target. That way she can get anything, not just limited to dorm supplies. Most teens/young adults don't use iTunes. |

+1 for Target
|
| Netflix! Great way to bond with new friends, by watching OITNB or something. |
| Gift card to her college bookstore. She can use it for books, or they always sell college apparel and a million other things. |
|
What college - there may be recent grads here who can give you an idea.

+1 or Barnes and Noble, amazon gift cards. Both sell used college books. |
| Starbucks gift card would also work. |
Amazon... |
Yes, do amazon. I don't know a single kid who buys books from the college bookstore. |
|
Amazon or Target, or maybe Starbucks if you know she likes it and if there is likely to be one in her college town.
I wouldn't do Netflix; I think most college students just use their parents accounts if they have one. |
| Giftcard to a pizza chain. Papa Johns has online cards. |
| Amazon or target or cash |

Amazon, Target or maybe Container Store.
My college kids use our Netflix account. Neither of my kids has a B&N in their college town, or at least one they go to. Plus we pay for text books. |
