Wolf Trap concert - lawn area with kids

We are going to the Frankie Vallie concert tomorrow, we have tickets in the lawn area.

Any particular tips? Do we need to go early? Do people take chairs or just blankets? Can we take food, etc?

There are size limits on coolers and bags but yes you can bring food and drink, including alcohol.
People bring blankets, mostly, IME.

Yes you need to be there before the gates open as people make a dash for the lawn once it opens.

I don't think chairs are allowed. Everyone brings blankets, and you can bring food.

If you sit at the very top just past the pavement, you can use chairs there. That is the only spot though you can get away with that.

Yes, get there hours early, people line up well in advance for what someone else said.

Bags and coolers need to be inspected. There is an express line if you don't have a bag to be inspected. So, if one person can handle the things that need to be inspected, the other person can wait in the express line with the blanket and enter and grab a lawn spot earlier.
