Tall slim 13 y.o. girl, starting school without uniform, where to buy stuff?

Ok this is a bit of a favor request, because we just moved out of DC and so need recs that work nationwide (like online, or stores with west-coast presence)

My DD is now 5'5" and 120; athletic but ectomorph (long limbs, narrow hips small bust etc). Coming off Catholic school uniforms and a growth spurt so she doesn't have much in the way of clothing, and we need some basics and something fun, too. Had some luck at Macy's with the Celebrity Jeans for jeans and shorts; anywhere else to recommend?

Thank you!

surf shops/Pac Sun, Nordstrom, H&M for some fun but not so high quality stuff, Dillards, TJ Maxx

Not to make fun of your daughter, but at 5'5' that really isn't tall or thin - it is just normal and healthy -
signed signed 5 11 and 130.....

Tall clothes are Long Tall Sally and Long Elegant legs. Thin is a struggle.

Op here; yes you are technically correct. She's normal and healthy; just compared to the other kids she's taller (in 98% height) and I was trying to give other parents here a feel for the body type. Thanks!

Don't put a middle school age kid in Land's End. Their stuff is babyish and/or extremely frumpy. Older kids want to wear stuff that is more fun and fashionable.

OP, Old Navy has jeans and pants that might fit your skinny kid. They have a lot of cute styles that aren't too expensive.

For tops, I'd look at Aeropostle, Hollister, the Gap, Old Navy, and Forever 21. Aeropostle is currently having a clearance sale.

Aren't all the kids basically wearing athletic gear all the time now?

Also if you want to splurge and she's a frilly girl, Lilly Pulitzer is having their on-line After Party Sale today (8/18). She'd fit in their small or medium size.

Is she an 8th grader or a freshmen, not that it makes much of a difference, but she is a young women not kid. All the teen stores should fit her. I have a 5ft, 85 pound 13 year old - and it's a struggle to find age appropriate clothes, not kids clothes.

My very short and very thin 12.5 yr old has good luck at Old Navy, Macy's and H&M.
