Anyone have luck re: LAMB PK-3 Waitlist

Anonymous
I finally got through to them today (after a few weeks of the phone not being answered). Instead of helpfully letting me know if the waitlist is moving, what number it is at, etc., I was just told that they would not be providing waitlist information any longer and that they "are full." Ha. I get not wanting to be bothered by annoying aspiring parents every day...but then just put the waitlist information online.

Or join the common lottery.

If they joined the common lottery they wouldn't have to deal with parents at all, just refer them to the MSDC website and/or hotline.

Anyone else have any luck getting answers regarding the waitlist?

They were remodeling and closed a few weeks ago. I'm so sorry you're having trouble finding out this information.

Quit defending them. Telling waitlisted families that they will no longer be providing waitlist information is absolutely unacceptable. I hope OP will file a complaint with the charter board. Refusing to provide information for a publicly sponsored lottery smacks of corruption

Yes. Saying they "are full" and will no longer provide waitlist information or movement updates seems really strange.

What's the real reason they aren't in common lottery?

We were below 5 on the Pre K 4 waitlist last year and were told it would be impossible immediately after we received the number. I understand the odds are better this year. However, the complete lack of movement and guarantee of o movement was a bit frustrating.why have a lottery if there are absolutely no spaces, or all spaces are filled by siblings.

Because they are required to by law. Each year is different. A kid may move and they will need to fill that spot.

Anyone else have luck getting information from them?

I've heard the PK-3 list has moved a bunch in the last few weeks, but I'm not quite sure how far (maybe in the 50's somewhere). Anyone know? And have those openings been for NE or NW campus? TIA.

We were originally in the high 50s with no call.

The pk3 list moved like 6 spots I thought?

This was us last year. We are bilingual and were told that it was impossible from the very beginning by administrators. There is no movement on the lottery list -- even with a number less than 5! Why bother with a lottery if you let no children into the school through the lottery.
