When to buy spring break air ticket?

Looking to travel to Aruba over spring break next April. Wondering when to get flights. Right now, fares are around $600/pp. Is that a normal price, good or bad price?

Traveling March 26-April 2.

We went to Aruba last year for spring break. Paid about $500 and bought in January. There were $400 tickets available, but we were set on dates/times. We flew direct on Southwest.

We went to Aruba last year also for SB at end of March. Paid $480 pp including taxes and fees, non stop on Southwest from BWI.

$600 seems a little high for March, but if you buy Southwest and you see that the price drops you can repurchase at the lower fare and get the difference back in Southwest credit.

We bought tix for Sprng Break to FL a month ago. But we found flights at a price that was a it as low as it gets.

Just bought ours to Costa Rica for $533. Don't think we'll get lower so went for it.

If that is the direct United flight you probably won't find less expensive tickets.
