Quick Request for Input Regarding Mobile DCUM Design

I am currently working on a design for mobile users of DCUM. One way to improve usability with small screens is to put less content on the screen so that what's left is larger. On the main forum page:

http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/forums/list.page

We have the following columns for the list of forums:

icon, title and description, Number of Topics, Number of Messages, Time and Author of Last Message.

I want to keep the icon (just for stylistic reasons) and the title and description. Is there any of the others that you couldn't live without? Or, to put it another way, do you routinely look at any of the remaining three and would miss it if it wasn't there?

Thanks!

I would not miss any of those. I don't look at them.

Just keep time of last message, so people can see which topics are recently updated. Drop the rest.

You only need title and description.

On that page, I don't look at any of the other columns. I don't care about having the descriptions either (although I can see why you might want them).

I don't look at any of the things you're thinking of omitting so I'm good with it.

thank god for this. I use DCUM on my phone but it's near impossible and incredibly buggy. Now my addiction can be even stronger!

I would make sure it is responsive and use something like bootstrap.

I like being able to see when the thread was started. I'm not sure which thing on your list that is but Id like to keep that so I can avoid reading zombie threads.

I don't use any of those remaining three from the main page.

On the forum list page? Nope, don't care about those.

I will definitely be responsive. So far, I'm doing all the coding from scratch. I've considered several of the frameworks but I think I'll have a better understanding of how things work if I do it this way. I'm definitely taking some hints from Boostrap and others.

Thanks for doing this. I'm sure it will be awesome. I think keeping the timestamp would be good.

Yes, thanks. I will not miss any of those columns--all a waste of screen space.

In response to PP re time of last post -- you can surf that way just by looking at Recent Topics.

You can lose any/all of those columns. Curious tho - have you considered selling the site? I'm sure there must be tons of offers..... Glad to hear a mobile version is in the works. I used to frequent this site a lot more but became too much of a PIA to view on my phone (which is how I surf 99.9% of the time). Also why u stopped shopping at restoration hardware - I'll go back if/when they ever get a mobile version running
