I'm renting but need to black out master bedroom . Where can I find a 72inch plus tension rod? I'd like to use a thinner window appropriate rod vs a shower rod.
TIA |
| I googled " 72 inch tension rod" and got 20+ hits...seems to be pretty abundant. Most are for showers, but some were narrower. You have to keep in mind that at 72"+ they are only going to get so thin. |
| If you are putting up sheers or very light curtains, that might work. But I can't imagine that a tension rod of that length would hold up drapes. |

Ikea.

This one is the best, it is spring loaded so it will not fall if the wall expand/contracts during the seasons

I bought this one to hang blackout curtains in my apartment: http://www.amazon.com/RoomDividersNow-Black-Tension-Curtain-66in-120in/dp/B009FES25C
I have it stretched over 100 inches and it definitely sags without some kind of support in the middle. Fortunately I was able to use some picture hanging wire to anchor the middle to the existing blinds base (not the actual blinds, that would probably be a bad idea). At 72 inches it may or may not sag badly enough to need a support. |

Try showerrods.com
They should have a straight tension rod at 72+ or look up other options they may have |
Thanks. Yes I was looking for a thinner /non shower rod. Oh well Thanks -op |
