How many people do you think REALLY run the US?

In other words, the power behind the power. Including but not limited to the Koch, Clinton, and Bush-type families.

None of the above. I believe that in spite of those who think they are in charge, this country is run by average citizens and small business owners. Some of those you name, and more, just go about making it harder on us.

You've been inhaling, unless you consider the Chamber of Commerce, NAM, API, the Kochs and Adelson to be small business owners.

The country is actually run by 25-year old staffers in the offices of the electeds.

The wheeler dealers make it tougher on us but the fact is their game is more about one upsmanship among their peers. The fact is that one half of all workers in this country are employed by a firm with less than 500 employees....1/3rd work for companies with less than a hundred and small businesses are responsible for 65% of new jobs created. And as far as taxation...I bet we, the self employed and small business owners, pay more combined taxes than all the major corporations do. We set the tempo for purchasing of goods and services...those rich fat cats aren't buying enough of goods, or utilizing enough of the services, that actually drive our economy...and we drive the directions of our cities and communities. If all of those who own small businesses and their employees and associates shut down our workforce, and stopped our purchasing, you would see a major disruption and a significant loss of tax revenue.

True...politicians and fat cats like the Kochs and Adelson can be a pain in our ass but we are surviving, and thriving, in spite of them.

Their bosses are owned by Koch.

If the Koch-runs-the-country thing were true, then the Koch brothers would actually succeed in trying to elect one of their puppets to a significant office.

Hasn't happened yet.

Over seven billion. We are all connected to one another, whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not. Chaos theory.

Politicians are like a big wave... A whole lot of splash but gone in an instant, the whole ocean will be fine without you.
