My friend is with her DD at the hospital for an extended period, her DD is fighting cancer. I want to bring them a care package but not sure what. She has family in the area and they are at children's in DC. Any ideas welcome. Thanks.
When my son was in the hospital there the best present was hand lotion because of the constant constant hand washing.
We adopted and had to stay in a hotel several weeks. A friend sent a care package of Cheryl's cookies and they were so good. I'd be careful with lotions due to scents. Maybe blanket, pillow, robe, PJ's, iPad, iTunes gift card. Gift card to dining facility or parking.
Double yes to the hand lotion--get the unscented type. LOTS of magazines.
There are coloring books for adults. Very good way to de-stress. Check Amazon.
Love the adult coloring book idea!!! Thanks!
What about bringing them dinner?

I second the food option. After many meals of convenience and cafeteria style, a homecooked dinner and snack items would be lovely.
Some trashy magazines as a distraction from reality. Likewise, a trashy novel or two. Jigsaw puzzle. |
