So, we've had a few sewer backups, and WSSC said that we have a root in our sewer pipe. Naturally, they say it's on our side of the line and therefore our responsibility to fix. Any ballpark ideas on what this will cost? And what will the repair job do to my front lawn, as I imagine they will have to dig up the pipe to replace a section, right? |

We recently had to do this. We had it hydrojetted, and a pipeliner put in the affected portion of the line. It cost us just over $2000. However, we got bids, and my husband is an aggressive negotiator. |
How big is your front yard? The cost all depends on how much pipe they have to replace. I would guess anywhere from $2k to $5. |
We paid 7k for full replacement. In Potomac. This was the best price from multiple companies. Good luck, it is such a pain to deal with!! |
You can just keep cutting the roots if the pipe isn't too bad |
