Hello.
I was wondering if anyone knows what benefits a teacher at GDS receives (ie onsite day care, tuition for their children) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
|
I have no verification of this (please correct me if I'm wrong, GDS parents), but was told by another parent that GDS does not have onsite daycare and as a result some GDS teachers who have children choose to move on to other schools that do have daycare. |
I understand that they receive some benefit for tuition, but do not know if it is free tuition. |
| Generally not Free. |
| Do any schools offer teachers daycare? |
| Have an friend who taught there several years ago. At that time, no daycare but there was someone nearby that a lot of teachers used. Tuition was definitely not free, I remember her saying, and the discount wasn't huge - maybe 30-40% off. |
| When we toued I noticed a daycare facility for the kids of teachers. |
I believe SSSAS has a daycare. |
Beauvoir. |
| There seems to be qute a bit of interest these days in teacher benefits. You should refer to the GDS website regarding faculty openings - very often the benefits for the larger schools will be promoted around faculty and staff openings. |

| Sidwell has onsite daycare. |
17:33 here. I was mistaken -- it was Beauvoir that had the daycare room for teacher's children, not GDS. |
| St. Patrick's also has onsite daycare for children of faculty and staff. I know this is veering off course, but wasn't sure if PP's were interested in onsite care in area schools. |
| thanks so much. |
