Please recommend your washer (top load) and dryer combo

Thanks!

Why would you want a top load washer? I wouldn't get one with the spinner in the middle, that's for sure.

Most no longer have the spinner in middle. Just bought the big LG top loader and love it. Tired of bending over and the smell you get in the front loaders.

Speed Queen. It is the only brand worth considering. All mechanical, no electronics. Search on here or google and you will find tons more info.

Heads up on the ones without agitators - you still need to leave the middle area clear and many of them can't be used with waterproof things like rubber backed bath mats. Thry also take a long time to run a wash load.

Me, too!! I love doing laundry.

Btw....my LG is faster than my Samsung front loader. When you turn it on, the minutes are estimate. It is often faster, based on the amount of clothes.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations

Hate my Maytag Bravos. I wish I would have gotten Speed Queens.

Faster than a front loader but way slower than a traditional water & agitator top loader. My Speed Queen is around 25 - 30 minutes for a wash load (don't know exact time). About 45 mins to dry an average load. For some people, that doesn't matter at all. For me, I do like being able to get through a load faster.

Honestly, I think the basic ones with the center agitator work the best. My Maytag is about 6 years old and it's great. It holds a good size load (although probably not as much as the big front loaders). The only downside of the center agitator is that it's pretty loud when it runs. I don't know if the HE ones are loud or not.

I f'ing hate our front loader. Hoping to get a top loader in our next house.
