Has anyone been there and if so--thoughts for early summer? Did you bring kids?

I haven't stayed there, but drove by it - super swanky! Dunno if you've been to N. Conway, but it's a very kid friendly place - families everywhere.

I would pay close attention to the weather that time of year. We were there in September, and spent most of our two week trip in the rain. In the early summer, the big problem is that its black fly season. Not good!

Wow black flys..I am going to have to look into that. We are going in Early June for a wedding and I know next to nothing about the area. I looked at the website of the hotel and couldn't get a feel for what it's like in early June i.e. is it warm enough to wear shorts then...also didn't realize it was a swanky hotel..the rooms I got through the wedding were 200 a night!! Oh heard there was an avalanche this week--hopefully that season will be over by June!
